Photographs

The Museum has a large collection of historical photographs of local commercial buildings. Most of the photos date from the 1860s through the 1960s. Businesses located around the Plaza are especially well represented in the Museum's photograph collection.

Events and General Information

The newspaper index contains references to articles about local businesses, indexed by type of business (“Barbers,” “Breweries,” “Lumber Mills,” etc.). Many of these newspapers are available on microfilm at the Museum (see the newspaper section for details). Many of the most informative articles have already been printed and are filed in the subject files (see the documents section for more information).

Historical Advertisements

The city and county directories at the Museum also contain advertisements and addresses of local businesses.
