This photo was recommended as
Photo of the Month by Jenny Allen, one of the scanning volunteers
on the Photo Preservation Project. Jenny thought it would be
of interest due to the fact that the woman in the picture is
pregnant. This is something that was routinely hidden back
in the 1890s, which is when this photo was taken. Pictured
is Luella Wolcott Prince in 1893, shortly before giving birth to
J. B. (Joey) Prince. Thanks to Jenny for this great
