| Description |
Hat; velvet; black; high crown, trimmed with feathers. Hat is cut with back of brim rounded and front & side of brim shaped to points with a ripple on the side with the feathers. Feathers are black bird feathers gathered with iridescent plumes into two bundles, secured with black velvet cord. Label reads "Scherman Fifth Avenue New York" ; circa 1917. (Belonged to Birdice Phillips.) |
