Description QUILT, :"Chimney Sweep" aka "Album Block"; several squares (brown with high iron content) have disentergrated; measures 196 cm x 168 cm.; dated 1880 to 1890. After researching on Anscestry .com (1880 census) it was discovered the names on this quilt came from Liberty, Missouri. It appears this quilt was a "Friendship Quilt" for someone leaving Liberty, Missouri sometime in the late 1880's. The following names are stitched on the quilt:
L. D. Kroger, Emma Shafer, C. ?. Shafer, ? Thompson, Minnie Parks, B. F. Kroger, Andrew Gerlach, S. V. Holcomb, Otis Estes, Sallie Shafer, Lillie Holcomb, W. J. Thompson, Bell Shelly, Minnie Thompson, Ella Connor, Charley Jennings, Dora Slack, Nettie Connor, Francis Slack, Ollie Shafer, W. D. Cox, H. Vallandigham, Wylie Thompson, Minnie Parks, Qunicy Shelly, Clay Connor, Minnie Thompson, Inez Thompson.
