Klamath River Indian Miniature Basket Hupa or Yurok in Origin.
Dimensions: Approximately 4 inches in diameter. Condition: Good. Estimated Date of Origin: 1930. Description: Tiny bowl is three-color piece with designs in black and red on a field of yellow bear grass. The red is alder bark red-dyed chain fern stems while the black is maidenhair fern stems. The smaller example was not trimmed on the interior. The larger example has a band of "snake nose" triangles. |
