The Healdsburg Museum has extensive files of newspapers, historical
documents, records, books, maps and photographs pertaining to
Healdsburg and Sonoma County. The public has access to all
materials, subject to the Healdsburg Museum’s Research Policy and
Procedures. Please call to make an appointment to access the
archives. Research Materials include: local newspapers on
microfilm (1865-present); U.S. Census records for Sonoma County,
1850 – 1920, Healdsburg area indexes 1850-1900; City of Healdsburg
records, including assessment roles, 1867-1967 (missing
1878-1881), account books, civil and criminal court dockets,
treasurers records, business and other licenses; land records,
including deeds (mostly 1800s), land patents, certificates of
title and search, abstracts of titles; Great Registers of Voters,
Sonoma County, 1875, 1890, 1892, 1896, and 1898; historic atlases
(1877 and 1898); military rolls
