Oak Mound Cemetery Celebration and

Fountain Dedication

Thursday, October 5, 2017

4:00-6:00 PM (Dedication at 5:30 PM)

Activities will begin at 4:00 pm, with ample time before the ceremony to explore the cemetery and take in burial sites of some of Healdsburg’s most prominent families. The Heald, Fitch and Matheson sites are just a short walk from the central fountain.

This special occasion will allow us to recognize and formally thank many volunteers and financial supporters who made the fountain a showpiece of the cemetery once again.

There is no charge to attend this event and refreshments will be served. RSVP to the Museum (431-3325) if you plan to attend. Please carpool if you can, since parking is limited.

The Healdsburg Museum and Historical Society is pleased to offer only 50 of its members the opportunity to participate in this one-day, private, docent-led tour of two very beautiful Dry Creek vineyard and winery estates that are usually not open to the public – Gallo’s Frei Brothers Ranch and Simoncini Vineyards.

The Healdsburg Museum thanks both wineries for generously opening their venues and providing docents, the Gallo family for donating the cost of the coaches, and Kim and John Lloyd of Big John’s for donating the lunches.

Frei Brothers Ranch

Established in the Dry Creek Valley over 125 years ago, Frei Brothers Sonoma Reserve is part of the fabric of Sonoma Country.

At Frei Brothers, we craft our acclaimed, award-winning wines by selecting the right grapes, grown in the right places within Sonoma County’s premier growing regions, then showcasing the pure varietal character of each variety.

In conjunction with the Healdsburg Museum, you will enjoy an exclusive opportunity to taste the wines and touch the vines at some of the most breathtaking vineyards in Sonoma County.

During your tour and tasting experience at Frei Ranch, you will learn about the history of the Gallo family in Sonoma, visit our beautiful underground cellar, and taste wines straight from the barrel.

Simoncini Vineyards

A family owned winery established in 2002, our family roots in Sonoma County go back to 1907 when our nonno Tony came to America from Genoa, Italy and settled here with his two brothers where they farmed peaches, prunes and wine grapes.

Simoncini Vineyards is focused on “The Wine, The Place and The People”.  Our Estate Zinfandel is hand-farmed, hand-picked, whole berry fermented, made with only free run juice and aged in new French Oak barrels. Our proprietary blends “Serio Bianco”, “Serio Rosso” and “Grande Rosso” showcase Winemaker Dan Cuzzi’s true talent for artisan winemaking.

We personally invite you to join us in celebrating the handcrafted wine, the beauty and uniqueness of Dry Creek Valley and disconnect for a while in good company.
